NATIONWIDE CALL-IN DAY: TUESDAY, APRIL 29, 2003

H.R. 1350 is moving forward - WE MUST STOP IT!

ACTION:

DREDF joins with the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities Education Task Force in organizing a coordinated CALL-IN DAY on TUESDAY, APRIL 29.

On April 29, 2003, we are asking every parent, advocate, student, and teacher who cares about educating children with disabilities to call their Congressperson and voice opposition to H.R. 1350. The theme is: "H.R. 1350 is a Bad I.D.E.A."

STEPS TO TAKE:

1. Mark your calendar and get out the message to fellow advocates in your state and ask them to commit to calling their Representative in the House on April 29, to tell them, "VOTE NO ON H.R. 1350, IT'S A BAD I.D.E.A. "
2. Forward this email to others and ask them to call on April 29. We want callers from EVERY state!
3. On April 29, call your Representative and leave the message to: "VOTE NO ON H.R. 1350, It's a Bad I.D.E.A. "

Members of CCD will visit every House Member and drop a packet of letters from organizations that oppose H.R. 1350 on April 29, 2003. DREDF's letter will refer to the hundreds of letters that you have sent and the hundreds of calls that you've made.
