On August 3, the U.S. Senate confirmed four new NCD members. They are John R. Vaughn of Florida, who upon confirmation became NCD chairperson; Victoria Carlson of Iowa; Chad Colley of Florida, and Lisa Mattheiss of Tennessee. They have replaced outgoing NCD members Carol Novak, Joel Kahn, and David Wenzel, and Lex Frieden as a member and chairperson.

NCD welcomes its new members and bids a fond farewell to those who have served so well.
