Pryor Hearing June 11th
June 5, 2003

ADA Watch Informational Alert
From the National Coalition for Disability Rights (NCDR)
See the ADA Website for more information.

Below is the official notice of the scheduled hearing for Alabama AG William Pryor, the controversial nominee to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at 9:30 a.m. in Dirksen 226.

Like Jeffrey Sutton, Pryor has a long history of right-wing activism and has worked to weaken and eliminate federal protections for people with disabilities and other minorities. In fact, it was Pryor who hired Sutton in the Garrett case which significantly weakened ADA protections against discrimination by the states.

ADA Watch will be posting a "Stop Pryor" petition and also asks that you contact your U.S. Senators and tell them to vote "No" on Pryor! See the web site for more info on Pryor's record.
