We are pleased to announce that the webcast on Medicare Part D Appeals, sponsored by Novartis, is now available on the Power of Partnering website.
As you may know, the webcast features Sara Rosenbaum, chair of the Department of Health Policy and Professor of Law and Policy and George Washington University who is a nationally-known expert on coverage and appeals issues. Sara addresses many common questions (including some asked by advocates) surrounding the appeals process and provides information that can help you and your colleagues assist your constituents.
Among the issues addressed in Sara's presentation are:
- The types of Part D plan restrictions that may be appealed
- The process needed to request an appeal, including necessary forms
- The prescriber's role in the appeals process
- The requirements of the plan in reviewing an appeal
- A patients options if appeal is denied
Please remember that the Medicare Appeals webcast is open to anyone in your organization who may benefit from it, so please feel free to pass this information along to them. The only prerequisite for participation is registering for access to the POP website, which can be done at any time by logging on to www.powerofpartnering.com and filling in the required information.
**Please click on the link on the POP website and follow the instructions for viewing the presentation. If you believe you meet the minimum technical requirements and are still having trouble viewing the presentation please let us know and we will send you a DVD of the presentation.
