ADAPT hasn't forgotten about MiCASSA!

MONEY FOLLOWS the PERSON (MFP) was a major victory.

CBO estimates over 100,000 folks will get out of nursing homes and other institutions over the 5-year funding of MFP ($1.75 billion).

The RFP to the states is suppose to come out in August. Please make sure your state puts in an application for the $$$$$. This is an opportunity they shouldn't miss.

Now MiCASSA. Truth - it ain't going to pass this session. Probably no surprise.

However, we need to get as many folks signing on in the Senate and House to lay the groundwork for the 110th Congress. (We are now in the 109th Congress). The more we can bring up the issue of the institutional bias in Medicaid and the need for Congress to act the more likely they will put it on their agenda, Republican or Democratic Congress.

ADAPT's next Action will be in DC September 11th-16th. Love us! Hate us! Don't Ignore Us!

The boys and girls of the Senate and the House will be at home on the following dates:

June 30th - July 10th July 4th Recess July 28th - September 5th Summer Recess

They supposedly are to officially adjourn on October 6th, but don't bet on it. They may be there longer, however they will want to get home to campaign for the November elections.

So what do we need to do:

2. Simple message: Sign on to MiCASSA S. 401 - H. 910.
3. All the House members are up for election, 1/3rd of the Senate.
4. Will you sign on to MiCASSA, S. 401 - H. 910 ????????
