Profiles in Excellence Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP): Commitment in Action

Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) is proud to announce that we have been awarded a Profile in Excellence by The Solutions Marketing Group (SMG), a marketing consulting firm which designs innovative strategies for businesses to target the untapped market of 54 million consumers with disabilities.

IEHP is featured on SMG's website as the May profile. We hope this story will demonstrate to other health plans across California and the nation that it is possible for a plan to provide quality accessible services to people with disabilities.

IEHP is committed to further building on the work we have done to make health care more accessible for people with disabilities. We look forward to continuing to work with the disability community to create innovations in the health care system.

The need for affordable and convenient healthcare pervades the lives of many Americans, but perhaps none more so than those in the disability community. While many managed care providers seem to be cutting back on services, one group has broadened their offerings to make sure that people with disabilities receive treatment that is both appropriate and accessible. The Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) of San Bernardino, California has 32 initiatives in operation or in the works that are aimed at improving both the general health and the delivery of healthcare services to persons with disabilities.
