Democrats and Republicans entered into a time agreement today. This means Democrats are closing the door on any possible filibuster to stop Sutton's confirmation.

Senate floor debate on Sutton will begin this Friday, April 11 before the 2 week recess. The debate will resume (and end) on Monday, April 28. The vote will be on Tuesday, April 29.

These dates are firm. We will send out a more detailed plan ASAP but ask that, if possible, you plan to come to DC on the day of the vote. We will attempt to identify the actual time of the vote and plan events accordingly.

For now we must continue our efforts to educate Senators, the media, and the general public. We must continue to call Senate offices, ask Senators to speak out against Sutton and, of course, vote against confirmation. We also need to continue to write letters to the editor, op-eds, etc.
