My First Gala

February 27, 2013  |  Suheil Thadani

It’s hard to believe the AAPD Leadership Awards Gala is right around the corner! In just a few days leaders and supporters of the disability community, from all across the nation, will be in the beautiful Ronald Reagan building to celebrate and continue to support the community. Thank you, to our amazing sponsors, for helping to inspire leadership in our community.

It’s my first time at this annual event and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s amazing to see how leaders in every field-from business to healthcare, to government-come together to support the fight for civil rights for the disability community. Everyone from governors, to healthcare leaders, to top executives at Fortune 100 companies will be in attendance.

I’m really excited for the opportunity to be in the same room as great leaders, such as: Senator Bob Dole, Senator John Barrasso, and Governor Jack Markell.

Over the past few weeks, our phones have been ringing off the hook with people asking about the Gala and buying up our final tickets.

Make sure to buy your ticket, before their all gone!
