INSIDE DEVELOPMENT
Each year on or around July 26, AAPD sponsors a nonpartisan event on Capitol Hill to commemorate the anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). AAPD created the Justice for All Award program to recognize individuals who have contributed in extraordinary ways to the political and economic empowerment for people with disabilities. We have presented awards to top congressional champions of the ADA, including Ted Kennedy, Tom Harkin, Chris Dodd, Orrin Hatch, John McCain and Bob Dole.
This year AAPD's JFA Event will be on July 21, 2010.
