Frances Vhay
Youth Transitions Fellow (YTF), HSC Foundation and AAPD
Frances Vhay is the HSC Foundation and AAPD Youth Transitions Fellow. She is responsible for facilitating collaboration among internship programs based in the Greater Washington, DC area, including the Greater Washington Internship Coalition. Frances also works closely with The HSC Foundation's National Youth Transitions Center, a collaborative learning community to benefit youth with disabilities and returning veterans.
Frances is from Boston, Massachusetts and graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in political science. While at Vassar, Frances was a founding member and co-President of ACCESS, Vassar’s student organization for people with disabilities. She hopes to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace and in higher education through disability advocacy.
Frances has previously interned with then-Senator John Kerry’s Office and Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick’s Office of Community Affairs. She also served as an AAPD Programs Intern and a 2012 AAPD Summer Intern at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
