Sydney Ortman

Executive Assistant to the President/CEO
Sydney Ortman is the Executive Assistant to the President/CEO of AAPD. In this role she coordinates critical communications and manages office-wide projects in addition to supporting Mr. Perriello’s work.
Prior to joining AAPD, Sydney worked for Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers on Capitol Hill. While there she worked with the Down syndrome caucus.
Originally from Spokane, Washington, Sydney received her B.A from Gonzaga University in Criminal Justice. While attending school, Sydney was the Vice President of the Gonzaga College Republicans and was the Chair of the Washington State College Republicans. Sydney’s passion for disability work stems from her family’s business. Her family owns a company called Ambitions that helps people with disabilities live independently.
Sydney is in the process of obtaining her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University.
