Rachita Singh, REV UP and Communications Coordinator
Rachita is the REV UP and Communications Coordinator at AAPD. Her work centers around the promotion and expansion of AAPD’s voting initiative, REV UP, and representing AAPD on various platforms.
Her goal is to make the disability vote a prominent aspect of politics and spread awareness on its impact. She got her B.A. in Government from the College of William and Mary and a Master’s in Public Policy from Duke University. She has been a part of various professional fields, from interning on Capitol Hill, to working as an assistant paralegal in a law firm, to being a project assistant at Howard University.
Her introduction to disability rights and AAPD came from a summer internship with AAPD through the Google Policy Fellowship program. The disability vote and the community at large are not part of the majority of the population’s general knowledge and political awareness and Rachita hopes to help change that.
