REV UP Grants

REV UP is excited to offer grants to our REV UP coalitions and partner organizations to support their work to build the power of the disability vote.

What is REV UP?

The REV UP network is composed of state and local coalitions that work to advance the Disability Vote. REV UP’s mission is to foster civic engagement and protect the voting rights of Americans with disabilities. In 2020, there was a voting gap of 7% between people with and without disabilities. Each REV UP Voting Coalition is critical to mobilizing and activating the power of the Disability Vote in their state.

2022 REV UP Grant applications are closed. REV UP is excited to offer grants to our REV UP coalitions and partner organizations to support their work to build the power of the disability vote. REV UP Grants provide $3,000, $5,000, or $10,000 and can be used from July to December of 2022.

What can the grant be used for?

  • Voter Registration
  • Voter Education
  • Voter Outreach (for example, postcards, phone- or text-banking, in-person outreach events)
  • Poll Worker Training
  • Nonpartisan Candidate Engagement

You may apply to use the grant for other activities not listed that would grow the power of the disability vote in your community. All grant activities must be nonpartisan.

How to Apply

The grant application is closed for 2022. Grants will be reviewed in the order they are received. If you are applying as a non-incorporated group or coalition, you will need to specify a nonprofit organization that will receive and manage the grant funds. For any questions, contact Lilian Aluri, the REV UP Voting Campaign Coordinator at laluri@aapd.com.

Reporting Requirements

By the end of October 2022, Grantees will provide a brief midterm written report describing the plans and funds spent on the project so far. By the end of January 2022, the Grantee will provide a final report with details on how the funds have been spent and the outcomes of the project. We also ask that grant recipients include the REV UP logo on materials or projects produced with grant funds.
