Eau Claire Area Press Event and Voter Registration

Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition, UCP of East Central Wisconsin, CIL Western Wisconsin, and other agencies will join together to promote registration of voters with disabilities. The event will include remarks from Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition, UCP, CIL Western Wisconsin and other voters with disabilities.
Different avenues for voters of all abilities to cast their ballot will be highlighted. An accessible voting machine will be present for demonstration by community members and the news media.

Milwaukee Area Press Event and Voter Registration

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, City of Milwaukee Election Commission, the Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition, the League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County, and other agencies will join together to promote registration of voters with disabilities.
• The event will include remarks from Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition, IndependenceFirst, and voters with disabilities.
• Different avenues for voters of all abilities to cast their ballot will be highlighted. Accessible voting equipment will be present for demonstration by community members and the news media.
• The Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition’s new video on Voter Registration, developed in partnership with Wisconsin Association of the Deaf, will be shown.
• Assistance with voter registration and voting questions will be available from 9:30 – noon

Milwaukee Press Conference

The City of Milwaukee Election Commission, the Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition, IndependenceFirst, the League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County and other voter advocacy groups are partnering together the week of July 16th to celebrate National Disability Voter Registration Week. This nonpartisan effort has the goal of increasing the electoral participation of people with disabilities. A press conference will be held at 8:30 AM, Tuesday, July 17th, at IndependenceFirst, 540 S. 1st St. to promote registration of voters with disabilities and voting events being organized in the City of Milwaukee. Members of the public are encouraged to attend and learn more about accessible voting. Volunteers from the League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County will be available until 12:00pm following the press conference at IndependenceFirst to assist those eligible to register to vote in preparation for the upcoming August 14th Partisan Primary Election. Madison Press Conference

The Madison City Clerk’s Office, the Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition and the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired will have a press conference to promote registration of voters with disabilities and disability access to polling places. At the press event, different avenues for voters of all abilities to cast their ballot will be highlighted.

Voter Registration

Voting Rights and Registration Event
October 15, 2018 | 6pm-7pm | La Crosse, WI

The Disability Action Network, or DAN, is partnering with the Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition to bring an educational registration event to La Crosse. The groups will show people their voting rights and help them register to vote. The event will also point out the accessibility options for voting with a disability. The event will take place at La Crosse’s Our Saviors Lutheran Church (612 Division St La Crosse, WI 54601) Monday night from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can register by calling (608) 785-3507. Registration is recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.
