AAPD will recognize U.S. Congressman Bobby Scott (D-VA) with the AAPD Economic Power Award for his leadership on the Transformation to Competitive Employment Act and longstanding commitment to disability rights. The Transformation to Competitive Employment Act would provide resources to transition Americans with disabilities into competitive, integrated employment in mainstream environments and eliminate subminimum wages for workers with disabilities.
