Jasmin Bailey, Manager of Business Operations and Executive Assistant
Jasmin is the Manager of Business Operations and Executive Assistant to the President and CEO at the American Association of People with Disabilities. She oversees all scheduling, logistical and administrative work. She is also the primary organizer of the Youth Transitions Collaborative Emerging Leaders Program, which conducts a monthly meeting to bring together with persons with disabilities and employers to discuss various topics.
Prior to working at AAPD, Jasmin was a 2013 AAPD summer intern, where she spent the summer working at the Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy. She specifically worked with the Workforce Recruitment Program, where she helped coordinate the registration process for summer internships with disability service counselors, students and employers.
Jasmin is a graduate of Mary Baldwin College, Staunton Virginia, where she received her BA in Exercise Science and a minor in Leadership Studies. She is also a graduate of the Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership (VWIL), the only all female corp of cadets in the world. VWIL is a satellite school to the Virginia Military Institute, where she spent here four years in Reserve Officer Training Corps to commission in the Army as a 2nd lieutenant. During this time, Jasmin held many leadership positions such as Drum Major, band captain and was drill team command and is also an Airborne graduate.
