March 5, 2019

This Wednesday, March 6th, the disability and aging communities are hosting a National Call-In Day to support the EMPOWER Care Act that would extend the Money Follows the Person (MFP) Program for five years. The MFP Program has helped more than 88,000 seniors and people with disabilities move out of nursing homes and other institutions and into the community. MFP has improved the lives of seniors and people with disabilities, saved states money, and led to better outcomes. That’s why nearly every state has participated in the program. But funding for this program is running out soon!

We need your help to pass this Act and get more people with disabilities back into their communities. Call your Member of Congress and request that they co-sponsor and vote to pass the EMPOWER Care Act (S. 548H.R. 1342)!
