REV UP: Register, Educate, Vote, Use your Power

We are actively fighting for the fair and civic inclusion of people disabilities in every political, social, and economic front. We know the disabled community has experienced violence beyond imaginable, been overly institutionalized, been denied access to competitive employment, and have often had their rights trampled on. There is a desperate need for those in politics and power to enforce the rights of 1/5th of the US population- people with disabilities. Voting is the means for our voices to be heard. Voting gives our communities access to transformational practices.

The REV UP Campaign aims to increase the political participation of the disability community while also engaging candidates and the media on disability issues. AAPD works with state and national coalitions on effective, non-partisan campaigns to address the concerns of people disabilities, eliminate barriers to voting, promote accessibility of voting; educate communities about issues and candidates; promote turnout of voters with disabilities across the country; and engage candidates and the media on disability issues.

Why Your Vote Matters/ Why the Disability Vote Matters
