We have bold plans for 2024 — this year, we are expanding outreach to reach more disabled voters, advocating for increased accessibility at the polls, and fighting voter suppression. We’re only able to reach new heights thanks to state and local partner coalitions and organizations across the country who share REV UP’s goals. Through REV UP grants of $2,500, $5,000, $7,500, and $10,000, we ensure that our partners are equipped with the resources they need for this critical work.
We were thrilled to receive 98 applications for our REV UP small grants program this year, with a total of $865,206 requested. This is a powerful testament in itself to the robust national network of partners committed to civic engagement for disabled voters. This also marks a 66% increase in applications from 2023, when we received 59 applications. We are proud to announce that we are awarding $390,000 in grants to 72 projects in 28 states and D.C.
This year, our funding priorities included voter outreach, hosting nonpartisan candidate forums on disability issues, providing accessible rides to the polls, creating nonpartisan educational videos for disabled voters, and policy advocacy around state-level voting legislation. Potential grantee activities also included training for poll workers, developing digital and printed voter information materials, providing translations for voting materials, coordinating meeting and event spaces, and securing funding for REV UP staff and volunteers working on voter engagement.
Thank you to all of the grantees listed below for your individual and collective commitments to ensuring that each and every voter can Register, Educate, Vote, and Use Their Power!
