Every year, volunteer coordinators organize Disability Mentoring Day (DMD) events all over the country. AAPD serves as the national coordinator of DMD to promote career development for students and job-seekers with disabilities through hands-on career exploration and ongoing mentoring relationships.

Work Without Limits (WWL) 3rd Annual Disability Mentoring Day

Mentees’ are paired with a career professional (aka Mentors) from one of our companies to learn what it means to work in that company, field or occupation; observe a typical work day; identify necessary skills; and learn about possible internships or employment prospects. Disability Workforce Readiness Expo
October 6, 2018 | 12pm-4pm | Newark, NJ
Eyes Like Mine, Inc. will host this two day event to prepare interested employment seekers with readiness sessions that will refer to accessibility, accommodation needs and training, resume building, and interview etiquette. The final day will be a variety of employers interested in providing job shadowing opportunities,volunteer opportunities, and hiring slots temporary and long term. The event will be held at the Vincent Lombardy Center (201 Bloomfield Ave Newark, NJ).
