Program Manager

Katie Johnson is a Program Manager at AAPD. Katie’s work is centered on promoting intersectional and cross-disability social movements that promote the principles of disability justice. They bring experience in justice-based training and facilitation, program planning and project management, and accessible communications. In their role at AAPD, they are designing a new training program. Previously they supported AAPDs Internship Program and Disability Advocacy Certificate Program, creating personal and professional development opportunities for disabled college students and recent graduates. 

Prior to joining AAPD, Katie worked as a program specialist at the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) where they provided technical assistance to the national network of UCEDDs. Katie earned their MPA with a specialization in Nonprofit Disability Services. Outside of work, Katie is a community organizer in Washington D.C. and enjoys spending time at local events or catching up with their neighbors and friends.
